Bank statements can be uploaded to the portal to save time manually entering them individually.
To make this process easier, we have added a manage bank import rules feature that will allow a payee field to be associated with a customer or supplier and expense category etc.
The ‘Manage Import Rules’ can be found next to the bank upload button:
In the Search Term, you can add a wildcard character, such as Vodafone*, in which case if Vodafone appears anywhere in the payee field, the rule will be matched.
The purpose of this feature is to save time when verifying imported transactions, as all fields will be completed when the transaction is processed, and so ready to be saved:
Using the bank import facility can help save time and also increase accuracy so that the transactions in the portal reflect income and expenses incurred in the business.
